Frequently asked questions

What can I find at Nadi Sangama?

Nadi Sangama brings together original studio work, natural care, photography, pantry goods, and selected handmade offerings from a wider creative community.

Some pieces are made by M.A. Raghu and Alice through Nadi Sangama Studio. Some are made through Earthmade by Nadi Sangama. Others are gathered through the Collective. Each product page will make clear where the work comes from, who made it, and how it is meant to be used.

How do I know what is made by Nadi Sangama and what is curated from others?

Each product will be clearly marked by line and maker.

Studio work is made by M.A. Raghu and Alice. Earthmade products are made through Nadi Sangama. Collective offerings come from selected makers whose work carries a relationship to place, process, material, and hand.

Nothing should feel anonymous here. The hand behind the work matters.

Are the pieces handmade?

Many of the objects and products carried by Nadi Sangama are handmade, small batch, or shaped through direct human process.

This means small variations are part of the work. Surfaces may carry texture, irregularity, marks of the hand, natural variation, or differences between batches. These are not flaws when they belong to the nature of the material and process. They are part of why the work feels alive.

Why are some items limited or unable to be repeated exactly?

Some pieces depend on materials that cannot be recreated on command: reclaimed paper, found matter, shells, stone, fiber, weathered surfaces, available plants, seasonal ingredients, or the specific conditions of making.

A similar piece may be made again, but it will not be identical. Nadi Sangama does not treat that as a problem. It is part of the honesty of working with natural and reclaimed materials.

Can I use the sculptural vessels for water, plants, candles, or food?

Unless a product page clearly says otherwise, sculptural vessels and forms should be treated as art objects.

Some may hold dried branches, shells, stones, cloth, or other dry materials. They are not automatically made for water, food, candles, or living plants. Each product page will state the intended use clearly so the piece can enter the home in the right way.

How do I care for handmade sculptural pieces?

Most handmade sculptural pieces should be kept indoors or in a protected dry area. Avoid direct rain, standing water, heavy moisture, rough handling, and harsh cleaners.

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. If a piece has specific care needs, those details will be listed on the product page.

Are Earthmade products suitable for sensitive skin?

Earthmade products are made with care, but natural ingredients can still irritate some skin.

If a product is used on the body, patch test before full use, especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies, or known reactions to oils, herbs, butters, essential oils, or natural ingredients. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Each product page will list ingredients clearly.

Do Earthmade products treat skin or health conditions?

No. Earthmade products are not medical treatments and are not presented as cures.

They are made for daily care, texture, scent, nourishment, ritual, and use. The language around them stays honest because natural care should not need exaggerated claims to have value.

How should I store natural care products?

Most natural care products should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and excessive heat.

Because small batch goods may not behave like heavily preserved commercial products, storage matters. Each product page will include shelf life, batch details, and storage instructions where needed.

Do you restock sold-out items?

Some items may return. Others will not.

Earthmade products may return in small batches when materials are available. Prints may return depending on format and edition. Studio pieces from The Once Lost cannot be restocked in the exact same form because each piece depends on its materials and process.

If something speaks to you, it is better not to assume it will return unchanged.

Do you offer custom work?

Custom work may be considered for selected Studio pieces, photography prints, and future offerings.

Because the work depends on material, process, availability, drying time, and the nature of the piece itself, custom work is considered carefully. If there is a clear fit, we will discuss direction, timeline, price, and what is possible before beginning.

Can I request a photography print in a different size or format?

In some cases, yes.

Studio Prints may be available as posters, canvas prints, fine art prints, archive pieces, or limited editions depending on the image and release. If you are interested in a specific size or format that is not listed, you can reach out through the contact form.

How does shipping work for fragile or handmade pieces?

Shipping depends on the size, material, weight, and fragility of the item.

Smaller goods may ship more easily. Larger sculptural pieces, framed prints, or delicate handmade work may require special packing, local pickup, or custom shipping arrangements. Each product page will include available delivery or pickup details.

Is local pickup available in Trinidad and Tobago?

Local pickup may be available for selected items.

If an item is better suited for pickup because of size, fragility, or material, that will be noted on the product page or arranged after purchase.

Why do handmade pieces cost more than mass-produced objects?

Handmade work carries time, material, process, and the hand of the maker.

A sculptural piece may move through gathering, soaking, shaping, drying, texturing, sealing, and finishing. A small batch product may move through sourcing, testing, blending, pouring, labeling, and storage. A curated object carries not only the finished item, but the process and person behind it.

The price reflects more than the object. It reflects the care required to bring it into being.

How do makers become part of the Collective?

The Collective is curated slowly.

Makers can reach out through the contact form and share what they make, where they are based, what materials or ingredients they work with, and how their process is shaped. The Collective is not an open marketplace, so not every inquiry will become part of the house.

The fit matters because the work should feel connected to place, process, material, and hand.

Do you offer wholesale or collaborations?

Wholesale and collaborations may be considered when there is a clear relationship to the world of Nadi Sangama.

This may include selected Earthmade products, prints, pantry goods, studio work, events, creative projects, or aligned partnerships. Please reach out through the contact form with details about your business, project, or idea.
